Thousands Lost Power in Queensland and Victoria Following Severe Storms
Nearly 25,000 households in Queensland's southeast were left experiencing outages on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms impacted the area, generating powerful gusts reaching over 100 km/h.

Locals reported giant hailstones measuring up to 7cm in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that various areas across the state had been hit with significant hail.

The following day was predicted as the wettest day, with ongoing severe weather risk predicted across multiple regions of both states.
